-1 Kite Surfers Have Fun on Flooded Football Pitch in Paris Park
<p>Kite surfers were spotted making the most of a flooded football pitch in a Paris park on Wednesday, January 31, following recent flooding of the Seine river.</p><p>This video from Paris resident Philippe Bonnet shows kite surfers testing out their skills at Bagatelle Playground in the Bois de Boulogne park. The pitch was located near the Seine, which was <a href="https://www.thelocal.fr/20180124/in-images-river-seine-burst; target="_blank">flooded on January 24</a>.</p><p>Paris was among at least 11 departments in France that faced an ongoing flood warning on Wednesday, according to <a href="www.leparisien.fr/societe/inondations-toujours-12-departemen; target="_blank">Le Parisien</a>. The French capital had its wettest December and January in 50 years, according to forecaster Meteo-France, <a href="https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/seine-river-floo; target="_blank">AccuWeather reported</a>.
